The way I play em is always kick first, use your front line in the middle to break their middle and have your blitzers go in around the side to harass and attempt to get the ball. Orcs are a solid chunk of meat and they move like that. General: Don't be trying to dodge of GFI too much. Offense: Get the ball to someone who can actually pick it up, make a cage, and just pick a side and press forward. Keep Black Orcs together, then blitzer can hit the pocket attacks. Don't be afraid of being in tackle zones but keep an eye on their big guys. Troll, hard to level up but he just needs to control the centere of the bitch, assisting everyone around for +1 blocksĭefense: Make a wall and keep people down. If Goblin isn't running the ball (and I gave one of my guys catch and sure hands) keep him by the troll to keep him smart. Trolls and Gobos: I like having them because it spices up the team. Often the ball handler if I feel like being really bashy. Thrower: Not always needed but I like to have one. I like to experiment with them giving them stuff like Kick or Thick Skull, just to keep them going differently. I usually have them cage up the ball carrier or help out the Black Orcs or the Troll to keep him moving. Lineman: I like lineman, they are good for making a cage if you give them block or wrestle. You need to have I think 2 blitzers to be true Blitzers - getting in and hitting people. Give them a Mighty blow for fun, I even threw Dodge on one of my guys to make him more mobile. Go for power and blocks nearly all the time!īlitzers: Like others have said, these are you stars and potential ball handlers. You bound to get injuries on people and possible deaths. These guys actually level up pretty well if you get them hitting every turn. Personally, I threw Block on a couple (just cause I like to hit more), Mighty Blow and Guard that way they are just extra coverage. Just chipping here and how I got my orcs getting good and fun.īlack Orcs: Put them on the line, get them hitting everything in sight. This multipart plastic kit contains all the components you need to build the Thunder Valley Greenskins, a Black Orc team for use in games of Blood Bowl. Incredibly strong on offence and hard to shift on defence, a well-managed Black Orc team is a fearsome thing to face off against across the Line of Scrimmage. Grind down the pitch, crushing the other players underfoot, until your Goblins are close enough to make a dash for the End Zone. If you like your plays rather unsubtle, this is the team for you. Teams like the Thunder Valley Greenskins have made a name for themselves with their impressive athleticism and discipline as much as their capacity for grievous violence. Even the trolls on Black Orc teams are well trained, which is an impressive feat! Well drilled in comparison to their peers, the little guys are quick to run the ball through any gaps the Black Orcs open up for them. Their biggest weakness is a lack of speed – but that's where the Goblins come in. Smarter, stronger, and more serious than their kin, they were tired of soaking up all the big hits and giving up all the glory.
